Analia Mayta, Argentina 2025

Analia Mayta is an Argentinian actress, playwriter, teacher and director. She has a Degree in Scenic Direction from the U.N.A (National University of Art). And has written 18 plays and directed 13 of them. As an actrees and director she has participated in several tours for Europe with different plays and workshops. She was invited in many internationals festivals in Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia, France, Brazil and Uruguay). In July 2019, she was selected among 5 Latin Americans by the "American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York". In 2018 her play "Las Idiotas" was premiered in Athens, Greece directed by Ioanna Niaxa, invited to attend the premiere by the Argentine Embassy.
In 2020 she was invited to be a director of the Graduation Proyect of Performing arts, in the University (UNA). And was the first play directed by zoom because of the global pandemic. She is a Professor at the Higher Institute of DramaticArts in Buenos Aires. Her last play, a version of Richard III won a several awards between 2023/25.
From actor to a character
The workshop intends to guide the participants in the construction of the character making use of various tools and techniques that allow them to progressively ways the complexity of creating a scenic been present, alive and unique that can generate dramatic situations from their particular logic .
Each day will split the work of physical preparation of actor to achieve the necessary availability permitting investigation of the various elements that can be served character creation: voice, body building, movement dynamics, internal and external rhythms, breathing, clothing, space and time, circumstances, etc.
This research will allow us to face the characters created guided improvisational situations that test scenic possible developments.
